He came to make me a proposal.
My mouth went dry,
my hands shook,
and I dreamed of all that could come from such an offer.
How did I win his favor?
All along, he was tenderly watching me,
and I never knew the depth of his care.
Will people rejoice with me or call me a fool?
My answer is yes: let people say what they say.
"I am the Lord's servant."
I will bear this child, the Son of the Most High.
