Seeing the Broadway play with Cynthia Nixon just topped my to-do list.
"I am learning to suffer," Literature Professor Vivian Bearing says. I, too, have suffered, and sometimes it is easier to take if you treat it like a class where you can reread your notes in hopes of passing the next test.
Strangely, I cried more during this Emma Thompson movie.
My life seemed more uncertain watching a loved one suffer (I watched STF for the second time while I was waiting for my dad's brain surgery to finish), than when I suffered. Maybe uncertainty hurts more than ant kind of physical or mental pain.
