Light

Your "good morning" light is marvelous.
Harsh beeps and garbled cell phone songs do not wake me:
I rise to your tickling light,
and the smiling light never goes away.
The sun is the twinkle in your eye that sustains me.

Your "good night" light is unapproachable.
In the world's darkness, you speckle the lights
that are made to keep secrets between friends
and consume vows between lovers.
The moon is your caress that satisfies me.

The first words made light.
Then the Word made me a light to the world.
So, make the sun set me on fire and moon whisper my dignity.
Set me on a hill and let me glow the words,
"my God fuels his romance with light."
